What we hold
- Your account: email address, a password stored only as an Argon2id hash, your language, and the times you signed in.
- Your terminals: broker server name, account login, symbol, timeframe, and the state the terminal is in.
- Your broker password, encrypted, described in its own section below.
- Files you upload: expert advisors, indicators and presets, stored so they can be placed in your terminal.
- Operational records: what your terminal reported about itself, when sessions were opened, from which address, and the events that changed a terminal's state.
- Billing records: your plan, your invoices, and an identifier from the payment provider. Card numbers never reach us.
What we do not hold
- Your card number or its security code. Stripe holds those.
- Any tracking or advertising profile. This site sets no advertising cookies and runs no third party analytics that follow you elsewhere.
- The content of what your expert advisor computes. We store the file and run it; we do not extract anything from it.
Your broker password
The platform needs the password to log in, so unlike your Terminalive password it cannot be stored as a one way hash. It is accepted once, encrypted immediately, and stored encrypted. It is never shown back to you, never written to a log, and never included in a support message.
When a terminal starts, the password is decrypted and written into a file that exists only in the server's memory, never on a disk, and is deleted as soon as the platform has read it. Every decryption is recorded with who asked, for which terminal, and when. Replacing a password overwrites the old one rather than keeping a version of it.
Why we hold it
- To provide the service you asked for: running your terminal is not possible without your broker details and your files.
- To keep it secure and working: operational records are how a failed terminal is diagnosed and how abuse is spotted.
- To bill you, and to keep the records a tax authority can ask for.
- To email you about your account: verification, a password change, a payment, a terminal that stopped. These are service messages, not marketing.
Who else is involved
The service runs on rented servers and uses a small number of suppliers. Each one sees only what its job requires.
- Hetzner Online GmbH, Germany and Finland: the servers your terminal and its data live on.
- Vercel Inc: serves this website. It does not hold your terminal data.
- Stripe Inc: payments. It holds your card details and the billing address you give it.
- Resend Inc: the emails we send you. It sees your address and the message.
- Cloudflare Inc: the connection between your browser and us, and storage of the nightly database backup in the European Union.
- Telegram, only if you connect it yourself, and then only for the alerts you asked for.
Where it is
Terminals, the database and its backups are in the European Union. Your broker password stays encrypted inside a backup, so a copy of one is not a copy of your credentials. Some suppliers above are United States companies and may process the data listed against them there, under their own transfer terms.
How long we keep it
- Your account and terminals: until you delete them. Deleting a terminal destroys its stored broker password and its files.
- Closing your account removes your terminals within 30 days, and the encrypted backups holding them roll off within 90.
- Operational records and audit entries: up to 12 months, because a security question asked later needs them.
- Invoices: as long as tax law requires, which is longer than the rest and is not ours to shorten.
Your rights
You can ask for a copy of what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, or object to how we use it. Write to the address at the bottom of this page and we will answer within 30 days. If you are in the European Union or the United Kingdom, you can also complain to your national data protection authority.
If something goes wrong
If your data is exposed, we will tell you what happened, what was affected and what we did, without waiting to have a complete story first. Where a regulator must be told, we will tell it within the time the law sets.
